The E.C. Bookert Bible School was established in honor of a remarkable servant of God, Elder Cleveland Bookert, a man whose life exemplified a deep love for Jesus Christ, a passion for the Holy Scriptures, and an unwavering commitment to teaching God's people.

Elder Cleveland Bookert was more than a preacher and teacher; he was a devoted student of the Word of God. As an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ, he dedicated his life to studying, teaching, and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He believed that the answers to life's greatest questions could be found within the pages of God's Word and that spiritual growth was rooted in a continual pursuit of biblical knowledge and understanding.

Throughout his years of ministry, Elder Bookert became known for his ability to impart biblical wisdom to anyone willing to learn. Whether speaking from the pulpit, teaching in a classroom, counseling individuals, or simply engaging in conversation, he always pointed people back to the Scriptures. He possessed a unique gift for making God's Word understandable and applicable, inspiring countless believers to develop a deeper relationship with Christ through the study of the Bible.
